Unknown Perfuming-in-pink
what is this
sweet-in-pink flowered tree?
Geisha lips
never knew but
a trunk as thin as she;
leaves like palms
(fan blades) – a willow weeps in mourning
as her lonely neighbor (kudzu
the weed of infinity’s bliss)
the pink perpetuates a caress
and it wafts good
as the pink permeates sweetly
like the heady scent
of old cedar
and his wood (evergreen
to the bone) - it smells good
honeysucklesque… but
what is this? this
flowering tree? this budding
bounty on forlorn roads, not
unlike the awnings of old
that covered coveted spots - old
mom-n-pops burger joints - a
rainbowing of hidden bullion,
prized dearly by the poor man’s soul
and his murmurs of untold & forsaken
dreams…
what is this?
this unknown perfuming-in-pink
that
Geisha lips never knew?
but with a trunks as thin as she
who could?
