Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in having your worked published here at Jacquii's Poetry Spot.  Below are the submission guidelines for poetry, artwork & photography that I'm accepting for Poem Of The Moment and Poetry Of The Visual.  Please familiarize yourself with the Additional Notes also before sending in your submissions.

Poem Of The Moment

I'm interested in works about any topic that is relevent to the goings-on of today and is unique in its voice...

I really have no prejudices towards the style of writing, but I prefer pieces that are over 20 lines & have much to say about society, nature and the ramifications of one's actions in the natural world... Your writing may be of the unforced rhyming variety, though I do tend to prefer non-rhyming.

I do not censor, but will not consider work which is unnecessarily violent, objectionable, pornographic or racist.

Humorous works - Ironic plays on words - Serious poetic vybe - Love poems - etc... Odes - Freestyle - Experimental - Spoken word - Collection of haiku - etc... All submissions are welcome!

Email submission to Jacquii@PoetJC.info (Poetry Submission in the subject line) with a brief (25 - 50 word) bio which includes your name and any writing credits. You may also make an online submission using the JPS Mail Form. Be sure to include the title of your poem(s) and contact information as well.

Note: Now accepting regular USPS mail submissions. The mailing address is listed in the Additional Notes.

 

Poetry Of The Visual

Now accepting art and photography submissions. The content should not be unnecessarily pornographic, but erotic is OK. Edgy is OK. Something that has a unique voice is what I'm looking for by the way of artwork.

I'm interested in works that are specific to no particular genre. I really have no prejudices towards the style, but I prefer pieces that are colorful and unique in its presentation and presense. Though all submissions are welcome, I do tend to like works that are persistently vocal without being overtly sappy.

Please submit as a JPG, GIF or BMP file. Better yet, send a link to your site. Please state the name of the file you are submitting in the subject of the email, and make sure to include your name and email address and a brief (25 - 50 word) bio which should include you name and any pertinent artistic credits.

Submit at Jacquii@PoetJC.info with Art Submission in the subject line.

*If you are submitting an attachment, please make sure to put your name and email address on your submission. Secondly, due to the number of email viruses, please state the category and filename you are submitting in the subject of the email.

*I don't take kindly to plagiarism, thus poems must be your original work and may or may not have been published elsewhere. The copyright always remains that of the author!

*Artwork & photography must also be your original work and may or may not have been presented elsewhere. The rights always remain that of the artist!

* Now accepting regular mail poetry submissions. Send 2 - 6 poems as a series of related works to the following address. Also accepting artwork & photography submissions via snailmail. Please enclose in a manilla envelope no larger than 10x13 in size. Please enclose proper postage (SASE) if you'd like your work returned:
